UBK – Direct expansion self contained systems

UBK is the line of self contained direct expansion and sea
water condensed marine air conditioners, ideal for cooling/
heating one or more contiguous cabins into small/medium
vessels (8-14 m). UBK is available in 5 sizes, from 5,000
up tp 16,000 BTU/h cooling power, in cooling only version,
heat pump version with reverse cycle and also equipped
with electric heater. UBK series has an extremely light
and compact design for easy installation and service. All
components (high efficiency and noiseless compressors
and blowers, corrosion resistant copper-nickel condenser,
high and low pressure switches) are assembled on a 100%
stainless steel case which assures a long life service and
the collection of great quantity of condensate.
For an immediate use, these air conditioners are equipped
with a LCD back-lighted digital control panel and a practical
infra-red remote controller, both supplied as standard
components. The electronic controller has a highly innovative
PC board which manages all the functions of the
air conditioner (temperature setting, fan speed, operation
mode…) as well as the failures diagnostics through welldefined
alarm codes. The best quality of the treated air
is assured by the installation of an easily removable and
washable filter. Each unit is pre-charged, leak checked and
tested in all operating modes at the most critical conditions.
All Thermowell marine air conditioners are filled up with
environmentally friend green refrigerant R410A and no
further charge is required before the installation on board.
Thermowell supplies also all the items for the installation
on board of the whole air conditioning system, in order to
get a full customization (grilles, ducts, pumps, strainer)
